Two people dead after shooting incident ends in crash in Illinois

ILLINOIS — Two people were killed in a shooting that ended in a crash Sunday night in the West Pullman neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

The incident happened around 10:09 p.m. in the 12100 block of South Harvard Avenue.

Police said two male victims were found inside a black sedan with gunshot wounds after the vehicle crashed into a tree.

A 20-year-old man who was driving the car was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim, whose age has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Area Two detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and crash.
