TENNESSEE — A deadly crash involving a semi-truck shut down lanes on Interstate 24 overnight Tuesday near the split with Interstate 75, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.
The crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. on April 21 on I-24 eastbound. Authorities said the incident involved a vehicle that appeared to have struck the rear of a semi-truck.
Police confirmed the crash was fatal but have not released information about the victim.
Traffic in the area was reduced to a single lane for several hours, causing significant backups before the scene was eventually cleared.
No additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
