GEORGIA — Atlanta police say they have shut down what they described as a large-scale marijuana pop-up event operation following a months-long investigation.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, undercover officers attended a series of secretive events promoted on social media, where they were able to purchase marijuana directly from vendors.
Investigators said the operation had been under surveillance for several months as authorities worked to build a case tied to the recurring pop-up gatherings.
On April 18, officers executed search warrants at a warehouse located at 275 Ted Turner Drive, just before the event was set to begin. Police said the enforcement action effectively shut down the operation.
Authorities have not yet released details on arrests or charges connected to the investigation. The case remains ongoing.
