
OHIO — More than 2,000 customers across Ohio are without electricity Tuesday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the most recent update, approximately 2,111 homes and businesses are without power statewide, representing about 0.04% of the more than 5.4 million customers tracked.
Cuyahoga County reported the highest number of outages, with 1,617 customers affected. Butler County followed with 230 outages, while smaller numbers were reported in Franklin County (43), Montgomery County (26), Hamilton County (22), Jefferson County (20), Portage County (20) and Pickaway County (17).
Among utility providers, Cleveland Public Power reported the largest number of outages, with 1,586 customers without service, accounting for the highest outage percentage among providers at more than 2%. Duke Energy reported 253 outages, while American Electric Power Ohio reported 180. FirstEnergy and AES Ohio reported smaller numbers of outages.
Ohio ranked sixth in the nation for total outages and seventh for the percentage of customers affected at the time of the report.
Restoration efforts are ongoing.
