
PENNSYLVANIA — A man was critically injured in a shooting early Tuesday morning in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood, according to police.
Officers were called to the intersection of Butler Street and Stanton Avenue around 12:45 a.m. for reports of a shot fired and a man down in the roadway.
When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers provided aid until emergency medical personnel arrived.
The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition and was taken into surgery, authorities said.
Police said no arrests have been made, and information about a suspect remains limited.
Detectives with Pittsburgh Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
