MICHIGAN — A 44-year-old Ohio man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 94 in Washtenaw County, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers responded around 6:25 a.m. April 18 to a report of a crash in Sylvan Township.
Investigators said the man was driving a Toyota Matrix westbound on I-94 in rainy conditions when he lost control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway, entered a ditch, struck several small trees and ultimately crashed into a large tree on the driver’s side.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Police have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
