INDIANA — A monthslong Indiana State Police investigation known as “Operation Clocked Out” has resulted in 29 arrests tied to a drug distribution network, according to officials.
Jefferson County Prosecutor David Sutter said the arrests involve the distribution of methamphetamine, cocaine, hydrocodone and alprazolam pills.
The investigation began in February after authorities identified a major supplier of methamphetamine operating in Jefferson County.
Officials said William Taylor was later arrested while traveling back to Jefferson County from Louisville, Kentucky. He has been charged with dealing in methamphetamine, and additional charges are expected.
Through the course of the investigation, multiple law enforcement agencies worked together to arrest dozens of additional suspects on April 15. Authorities allege Taylor was supplying drugs to others in the area.
Agencies involved in the investigation include the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office, Madison Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section, Kentucky State Police Campbellsburg Post and the U.S. Marshals Service.
The investigation remains ongoing.
