
ARIZONA — A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash early Wednesday in the Camelback East area, according to Phoenix police.
Officers were called to the scene around 12:30 a.m. near 56th Street and Thomas Road after reports of a person being struck by a vehicle. When they arrived, police found the pedestrian and transported them to a hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities said the driver involved in the crash left the scene before officers arrived.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The roadway has since reopened.
