Thousands without power in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — Nearly 3,000 customers across Pennsylvania are without power Tuesday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the most recent update, 2,949 homes and businesses are reported without electricity statewide, representing about 0.04% of the more than 6.7 million customers tracked. Pennsylvania ranked sixth in the nation for total outages and 12th for the percentage of customers affected.

Montgomery County reported the highest number of outages, with 851 customers without power. Monroe County followed with 347 outages, while Philadelphia County reported 255. Additional outages were reported in Delaware County with 199 and Chester County with 162.

Among utility providers, PECO Energy Company reported the largest number of outages with 1,588 customers affected. FirstEnergy reported 813 outages, while PPL Electric Utilities reported 378.

Crews are working to restore service, though no estimated restoration times have been provided.
