VIRGINIA — A search warrant executed in Washington County last week led to the discovery of drugs, firearms and cash, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team carried out the search near the Long Hollow area on Wednesday.

During the search, investigators reported finding methamphetamine, cocaine and psilocybin, along with money and multiple firearms.

Following the initial search, deputies obtained felony warrants for two suspects, identified as Tommy Neil Fulton, 49, and Eva Christine Porter, 53, both of Abingdon.

Officials said Fulton later returned to the residence and refused to come out when officers arrived. A second search warrant was executed with the assistance of a K-9 unit, and Fulton was taken into custody after a brief standoff.

Fulton is charged with four counts of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I or II controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance while possessing a firearm and three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Porter faces three counts of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I or II controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance while possessing a firearm.

Both suspects are being held without bond at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
