Part of I-4 in Florida shut down following semi-truck crash

FLORIDA — A semi-truck fire shut down a westbound off-ramp along Interstate 4 in Sanford on Thursday afternoon, according to the Seminole County Fire Department.

The fire occurred at mile marker 104, prompting authorities to close the westbound off-ramp as crews responded to the scene.

Officials said the driver was not injured in the incident. No other vehicles were involved, and the truck was not carrying cargo at the time of the fire.

Emergency crews remained on scene as of Thursday evening working to clear the area and ensure the roadway was safe.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The incident remains under investigation.
