MISSISSIPPI — A Meridian man has been arrested following a drug bust that led to the seizure of large amounts of narcotics, cash and a firearm, according to authorities.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department said deputies and its SWAT team executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home in the 3800 block of 32nd Street as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the search, agents recovered more than two ounces of powder cocaine, over one ounce of methamphetamine, approximately 7,000 ecstasy pills, multiple suspected fentanyl-laced and pharmaceutical pills, and more than 8½ pounds of marijuana. Authorities also seized a firearm and more than $19,000 in cash believed to be connected to drug activity.
Officials identified the suspect as Rolando McDonald. He faces multiple charges, including trafficking ecstasy, methamphetamine, marijuana and cocaine within 1,500 feet of a school while in possession of a firearm, as well as possession of controlled substances.
Authorities said McDonald’s total bond is set at $800,000.
