MISSISSIPPI — Authorities are asking for the public’s help after an 18-year-old man was shot Sunday evening in Jasper County.
According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded around 6 p.m. to a report of a shooting at a home located east of Montrose on County Road 206.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the side. Officials said the man was treated at the scene before being airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Investigators said they received limited information at the scene and are now seeking assistance from anyone who may have been present or has knowledge about the incident.
