MISSISSIPPI — Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after two adults were found dead inside a Brandon home early Saturday morning.
According to the Brandon Police Department, officers responded around 1:20 a.m. on March 21 to a reported shooting at a residence in the 300 block of Towne Street.
Authorities said a family member called police after entering the home and discovering the two residents deceased.
The victims were identified as 41-year-old Janitra Evette Patrick and 40-year-old Jimmy Orlando Patrick.
Investigators said preliminary findings indicate the incident stemmed from a domestic situation and is being treated as a murder-suicide.
Officials said the investigation remains active and ongoing. No additional information has been released.
