
NORTH CAROLINA — A man was shot Tuesday morning in a road rage incident along U.S. Highway 70 near Princeton, according to authorities.
Officials said the shooting prompted a large law enforcement response around 8 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. 70 and Shoreline Drive.
Deputies reported that one man was shot during the incident and was transported to a hospital. His condition has not been released.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene.
Authorities said several vehicles were pulled over along the roadway, though traffic continued moving in both directions.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
