MISSISSIPPI — Authorities are investigating after human remains were discovered in Claiborne County.
According to officials, the remains were found in a decomposed state. Investigators said they were unable to determine a cause of death at the scene.
Because of the condition of the remains, authorities say foul play cannot be ruled out at this time.
The case has been turned over to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation for further examination.
Officials are asking anyone with information that may assist in the investigation to contact the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office.
