MISSISSIPPI — Two Hattiesburg residents are facing felony charges following a two-month investigation into reported mail thefts in Lamar County, authorities said.
According to the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Steven Minor and 42-year-old Ashley Grubbs were arrested Wednesday and each charged with felony mail theft.
Investigators allege the pair took mail from residential mailboxes between Dec. 23 and Dec. 25, 2025. Officials said the suspects were identified through security camera footage and tips from community members.
The sheriff’s office reported that Minor and Grubbs were traveling in a gray 2014 Toyota Camry at the time of their arrest.
Authorities have not released information regarding possible bond for either suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing.
