OHIO — Two people were killed in an overnight shooting at the Villages at Roll Hill, and Cincinnati police are searching for a suspect.
Officers were called to the apartment complex around 2 a.m. Wednesday after a ShotSpotter alert indicated gunfire in the area. When police arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities said officers attempted life-saving measures, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their identities have not yet been released.
A large police presence remained at the complex Wednesday morning as investigators blocked off several blocks to process the scene. Video from the area showed a car crashed into a playground near where officers were investigating.
Police said they do not currently have a suspect and are continuing to work to determine what led up to the shooting. Homicide detectives remain on the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cincinnati police. The investigation is ongoing.
