MISSISSIPPI — Four people were critically injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Lafayette County, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they responded around 7:30 p.m. to a crash along County Road 313, where a vehicle had left the roadway. Emergency crews found four occupants suffering from critical injuries.
The Lafayette County Fire Department and Baptist Priority Ambulance Service assisted at the scene. Due to the severity of the injuries, all four victims were airlifted to area hospitals.
Three of the injured individuals were transported to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. The fourth was flown to Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Authorities said the incident remains under investigation.
