OHIO — Two fugitives wanted for aggravated murder and multiple felonious assaults have been apprehended in Northern Kentucky, thanks to a collaborative effort by federal and local law enforcement agencies.
The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST), in partnership with the Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force (CKFTF), the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kenton County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Willie and Jeromy Jones on the morning of January 8, 2025.
The Jones brothers were wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for their alleged roles in violent crimes.
After discovering the suspects had fled Ohio, SOFAST adopted the case and tracked them to the Kenton County area of Kentucky.
Jeromy Jones was apprehended on Woodburn Avenue in Covington, while Willie Jones was arrested on Transformation Lane in Florence. Both arrests occurred without incident.
The brothers are currently being held at the Kenton County Jail, awaiting extradition to Ohio.
“The United States Marshals Service is committed to bringing those who commit violent crimes to justice,” said Michael D. Black, U.S. Marshal. “This arrest is the result of the teamwork between our task force in Southern Ohio and our USMS partners in the Eastern District of Kentucky.”
Cincinnati’s SOFAST task force, led by the U.S. Marshals Service, includes members from various local, state, and federal agencies, such as the Ohio Adult Parole Authority, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Homeland Security.
