IOWA — An 18-year-old died Friday afternoon following a crash in Jackson County, according to authorities.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of 17th Street and 484th Avenue near Miles, just east of Maquoketa. Officers say the driver was traveling eastbound when the vehicle lost control.
Investigators said the vehicle left the roadway, struck agricultural equipment, then hit a building before coming to rest inside the structure.
The identity of the driver has not been released at this time. Authorities have not provided additional details as the investigation continues.
