PENNSYLVANIA — A 15-year-old boy was hospitalized after being shot multiple times Thursday morning in Pittsburgh’s Stanton Heights neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded to the scene after reports of a shooting and found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and legs.
Police applied tourniquets and were able to control the bleeding before emergency medical crews arrived.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Authorities believe the suspects fled the area in a vehicle, but no further details have been released as the investigation continues.
