OHIO — A lucky lottery player won $40,016 in the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, December 17, with a ticket purchased at Giant Eagle #6378, located at 1955 E. Maple St. in North Canton.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 56-66-67-68-69, with the Mega Ball 18.

The winner used auto pick to select their numbers, matching four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball to win $10,000.

By adding the Megaplier to their ticket, the prize was multiplied by four, bringing the total to $40,000.

On another line of play, the ticket matched one white ball and the Mega Ball for an additional $16.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home approximately $28,811.52.

The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Friday, December 20, at 11 p.m., with an estimated jackpot of $825 million.
