COLUMBUS — Columbus police are investigating a shooting after officers discovered a wounded individual inside a vehicle involved in an accident on I-70 westbound near Hamilton Road.
The incident occurred on October 6, 2024, at approximately 12:13 p.m.
According to Columbus Police, responding officers were initially dispatched to the scene for what was reported as an injury accident.
Upon arrival, they found a shooting victim inside the vehicle. The individual was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive the injury.
The investigation is ongoing.
