VIRGINIA — A 42-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Fourth of July in King William County, according to Virginia State Police.
The crash occurred just before 2:15 p.m. on Walkerton Road, about half a mile south of Route 30.
Police say a 2020 Freightliner M2 was traveling southbound when it ran off the road.
The driver attempted to overcorrect, causing the vehicle to re-enter the roadway and overturn.
The driver, identified as Ricardo Jennings of Washington, D.C., was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
