OHIO — A woman has been arrested on child endangerment charges after police discovered eight children in a home during a drug investigation, authorities said.
Britney Alvis was taken into custody and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
Police have also issued a warrant for her boyfriend, Eulis “Punchy” Curenton, who is wanted for child endangerment, drug trafficking, and possessing a weapon under disability.
During the investigation, officers seized crack cocaine, firearms, and other items linked to illegal drug sales.
Authorities stated that Alvis’ arrest was not surprising to the department.
The children found in the home are now safe and in the care of relatives, police said.
A search warrant remains active for Curenton, who has not yet been apprehended.
The case remains under investigation.
