
OHIO — Police are searching for one final suspect after a high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle ended in a crash early Thursday morning east of downtown.
According to authorities, the incident began just before 3 a.m. when a Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Deputy was pursuing the driver of a stolen Kia. The chase ended when the vehicle crashed near East 40th Street and Chester Avenue.
Four individuals were taken into custody at the scene, and a fifth suspect was arrested around 6:30 a.m. Police say five of the suspects are juveniles and one is an adult. Their names have not been released.
Officers from multiple police departments are assisting in the search for the final suspect, who remains at large. Drones and K-9 units have been deployed, and Cleveland firefighters used a ladder truck to access the roof of a nearby building during the search.
No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
