PENNSYLVANIA — Four people are in custody in Blair County following a months-long state police investigation into a series of fatal drug overdoses earlier this year.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Calil Francois-Moon, Matthew Rhoades, Dalayne Moyer and Kayla Smith were charged earlier this week in connection with three overdose deaths that occurred in February.
Police said that on Feb. 19, 25-year-old Zane Albright was found dead at a residence in Snyder Township. That same month, 24-year-old Madison Kramer and 33-year-old Charissa Wilson were found deceased at separate homes in Tyrone Borough.
According to criminal affidavits, autopsy results determined that all three victims died from overdoses involving multiple drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Investigators said their investigation revealed that Rhoades, Moyer and Smith allegedly helped Francois-Moon distribute the drugs that led to the fatal overdoses. Online court records show all four defendants are facing multiple charges, including felony drug delivery resulting in death and related offenses.
All four individuals are currently being held at the Blair County Prison. The cases remain under investigation.
