
OHIO — A Fostoria woman was seriously injured Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Hancock County, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 12 and Township Road 218, southwest of Fostoria. Authorities identified the injured pedestrian as 42-year-old Miranda Wildman of Fostoria.
Investigators said a vehicle driven by 67-year-old John Waaland of Arcadia was traveling on State Route 12 when it struck Wildman, who was in the roadway at the time of the crash.
Wildman sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Toledo for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
