
TEXAS — More than 30,000 customers across Texas are without electricity as of Monday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.com.
The outage tracking site reported 30,985 customers without power statewide out of more than 15.48 million customers being monitored. Power outages were scattered across several regions, with the highest concentrations reported in parts of southeast and coastal Texas.
Harris County recorded the largest number of outages, with 13,691 customers without power as of the latest update.
Several other counties reported more than 1,000 customers affected, including Orange County with 1,726 outages, Montgomery County with 1,705, Hidalgo County with 1,687, and Hardin County with 1,680. Jefferson County reported 1,554 outages, while Calhoun County had 1,351 customers without service. Galveston County also saw notable impacts, with 1,278 outages reported.
Utility crews were working to restore power, though no estimated restoration times were immediately available. Officials remind residents to report outages directly to their electric providers and to avoid downed power lines. Outage numbers may change as repairs continue and additional reports are received.
