OHIO — A Roundhead man was injured in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night near Indian Lake, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on the north side of Indian Lake near the 15000 block of State Route 235. Investigators reported that a vehicle left the roadway and struck a road sign before becoming airborne. The vehicle traveled across a driveway and landed in a nearby yard.

Authorities said the vehicle then re-entered the roadway before leaving it a second time, going up and over an incline. The crash ended when the vehicle came to rest at the boat docks of Geronimo’s Campground.

The vehicle was identified as a 2016 Honda Accord driven by Douglas Overs, 62, of Roundhead. Overs was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by BMRT for suspected serious injuries.

Overs was cited for failure to control. Deputies said alcohol consumption is believed to have been a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time.
