
NORTH CAROLINA — The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred late Friday night at a convenience store in Goldsboro.
According to police, officers responded at approximately 11:07 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2025, to a report of a shooting at the Sheetz located at 1003 N. Spence Ave. When officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from gunshot-related injuries.
Emergency Medical Services transported the victim, identified as 19-year-old Jeffery Wayne Moses Jr. of Dudley, to UNC Health Wayne for treatment. Authorities said Moses was later flown to ECU Health, where he is currently listed in serious condition.
Police said the department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No additional details were released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
