TENNESSEE — Two people were arrested and charged with aggravated assault following an incident reported early Christmas Eve in Washington County, Tennessee, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a residence in the 3200 block of McKinley Road around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 19. Sheriff Keith Sexton said the occupants reported that two individuals vandalized Christmas decorations outside the home before knocking on a bedroom window.
According to the victim, the suspects raised their ski masks to reveal their faces, and one of them pointed a firearm at him.
Sheriff Sexton said deputies later located Dustin Otto Bishop, 31, of Elizabethton, and Kaitlyn Dawn Malone, 29, of Johnson City, walking along Highway 11-E near South Barton Street on Christmas Eve. Authorities said Bishop attempted to flee but was later found and taken into custody on South North Street.
Bishop was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and simple possession. Malone was charged with aggravated assault.
Malone was released on a $10,000 bond, while Bishop is being held on a $25,000 bond. Both are scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
