FLORIDA — A man was found dead early Christmas morning following a reported shooting in Ocala, according to the Ocala Police Department.
Police said officers responded to reports of gunshots around 4:11 a.m. on Christmas Day in the 800 block of West Silver Springs Place. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot and pronounced dead.
Detectives said they are actively investigating the homicide and are working with the victim’s family. No information about possible suspects has been released, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
