
GEORGIA — One juvenile was killed and four others were injured in an overnight shooting, according to police.
Officers with the Albany Police Department responded to reports of a shooting around 11:48 p.m. on Dec. 23 in the 1700 block of West Broad Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male deceased at the scene.
Police said four additional juveniles, ranging in age from 15 to 17, suffered gunshot wounds during the incident. Two of the victims were transported to a hospital in Macon, where they remain in surgery.
Officials said one of those victims is being treated for internal injuries. Two other victims were taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where they were treated and later released.
Authorities have not released information about possible suspects or a motive. The incident remains under investigation.
