FLORIDA — A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on Busch Boulevard in Tampa, according to police.
The crash occurred around 6:44 a.m. in the 4900 block of Busch Boulevard, the Tampa Police Department said in a news release.
Investigators said a Chevrolet Impala was exiting the Azula North apartment complex when it turned into the path of an oncoming motorcycle.
Police said the 34-year-old motorcyclist was ejected during the collision and died at the scene.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time,” Tampa police said in a statement.
The driver of the Impala, a 27-year-old woman, was treated for minor injuries. Police said she was cited for making an improper left turn.
The crash remains under investigation. All lanes of Busch Boulevard have since reopened to traffic.
