ALABAMA — A pedestrian was killed Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Huntsville.
According to Don Webster with Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc. (HEMSI), the incident occurred just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Mountain Gap Road and Hillwood Drive. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where the female pedestrian was found with fatal injuries.
Webster said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is expected to be okay.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately released, and the incident remains under investigation.
