
OHIO — Authorities in Hocking County are investigating after two people were found dead inside a Logan home during a welfare check Monday morning.
According to the Logan Police Department, officers were asked to conduct a welfare check on a woman who lived in the Dicken Addition area of the city. Police said officers arrived at the residence shortly before 10:30 a.m.
Upon entering the home, officers found a man lying in the living room and a woman in the kitchen. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said a gun was found near the man inside the residence.
The identities of the man and woman have not been released, pending notification of next of kin. Police have not announced a cause of death.
The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details were immediately available.
