Police attempting to identify man who stole cash register from Ohio business

OHIO — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing a cash register from a business early Monday morning.

According to University Circle Police Department, the theft occurred at approximately 1:38 a.m. at J & L Market and Garden Center, located in the 11700 block of Euclid Avenue in Cleveland.

University Circle Police Chief Tom Wetzel said the suspect entered the business and walked out with the cash register. No injuries were reported, and it is unclear how much money was inside the register at the time of the theft.

Investigators are continuing to review the incident and are urging anyone with information to contact the University Circle Police detective bureau at 216-791-1234.
