OHIO — An Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued for a woman reported missing in Champaign County.
According to the Champaign County Communications Center, Ruth Watts, 70, was last seen around 6:30 a.m. walking away from her home on East Court Street in Urbana. Authorities say she has not returned home since.
Watts is described as standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a black coat with a hood, black shorts, and a yellow or red top. Officials believe she was not wearing shoes.
Law enforcement is asking the public to help locate Watts due to concerns for her safety. Anyone who sees her or has information about her whereabouts is urged to call 911 or contact the Champaign County Communications Center at (937) 653-3409.
The alert remains active as the search continues in Champaign County.
