VIRGINIA — A man was arrested following a shooting that left one person injured Saturday evening, according to the Roanoke Police Department.
Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting around 5:28 p.m. in the 11100 block of Stewart Avenue SE in Roanoke. When officers arrived, they found a 37-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said the suspect was later identified as the victim’s brother. He was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic malicious wounding.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
