
SOUTH CAROLINA — Thousands of customers across South Carolina were without electricity as of Wednesday, according to data from PowerOutage.com, which tracks utility outages nationwide.
The outage tracker showed 5,203 customers without power statewide out of more than 3.06 million customers monitored. The information was updated within the last 15 minutes, reflecting ongoing service disruptions affecting several counties.
Lexington County reported the highest number of outages, with 4,459 customers without electricity, accounting for the vast majority of outages across the state. Greenville County followed with 339 customers affected, while Saluda County reported 191 outages.
Georgetown County had 104 customers without power, and Charleston County reported 51 outages.
Smaller numbers of outages were also reported in Richland County, with 17 customers affected, and in Anderson and Spartanburg counties, each reporting seven outages.
Restoration times were not immediately available, and residents experiencing outages are encouraged to report them directly to their utility providers and monitor updates as repairs continue.
