Bomb threat reported at Pennsylvania high school, investigation underway

PENNSYLVANIA — Pittsburgh Public Schools is investigating after a bomb threat was reported at Carrick High School on Wednesday morning.

According to district officials, the threat alleged that an explosive device was inside the building. In response, law enforcement and school officials conducted a thorough search of the school.

No explosive device was found during the search, officials said. After authorities determined there was no threat, the school day continued as normal.

An investigation into the source of the threat remains ongoing.
