
FLORIDA — Thousands of Florida residents are without electricity Tuesday, according to outage data published by PowerOutage.com.
As of the latest update, approximately 5,294 customers were reported without power statewide out of more than 11.7 million customers being tracked. The outage numbers were updated within minutes of the report and reflect ongoing issues across several counties.
Escambia County reported the highest number of outages, with 1,976 customers without electricity. St. Lucie County followed with 848 outages.
Additional affected areas included Clay County, where 382 customers were without power, Miami-Dade County with 380 outages, and Collier County with 379. Smaller numbers of outages were also reported in Pinellas County with 171 customers affected, Okaloosa County with 151, and Orange County with 117.
The outage map did not immediately list specific causes for the power disruptions, and estimated restoration times were not provided. Utility companies typically investigate outages to determine whether they are caused by equipment failures, weather conditions, or other factors.
