PENNSYLVANIA — A pedestrian was killed Saturday evening following a crash in West Hanover Township, authorities said.
According to a PennDOT spokesperson, the incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on U.S. Route 22 westbound. Details about how the crash happened have not yet been released.
The coroner was called to the scene, confirming the fatality.
As a result of the investigation, U.S. 22 west is closed between Clover Lane and Blue Ridge Avenue Saturday evening. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes while crews worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, and the identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
