GEORGIA — Two people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a DeKalb County home Friday night, according to police.

Officers were called to Parkwood Trace, a residential street in unincorporated Stone Mountain, at about 9:30 p.m. after reports that a car had struck a house. Police said both the driver and a passenger in the vehicle were taken to the hospital. The driver suffered serious injuries, while the extent of the passenger’s injuries was not immediately released.

Investigators believe the car had been traveling on Cavan Drive, a dead-end road, when it went down a steep slope, tore through a wooded area, and crashed into the back of the home.

Police said no one inside the house was injured in the incident.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.
