OHIO — A 70-year-old man has died after being shot Friday night in north Toledo, according to police.
Authorities said officers responded to a report of a shooting shortly after 7 p.m. at a residence on North Ontario Street, located between Elm and Chestnut streets. When officers arrived, they found 70-year-old Scott Hirchfield suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Hirchfield was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment, where he later died from his injuries.
Police said no suspects are currently in custody, and detectives continue to investigate the shooting. The circumstances surrounding the incident have not been released.
