TENNESSEE — The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two people discovered Thursday afternoon at a home in rural Decaturville.
Deputies were called to the 100 block of Wheat Store Road just before 4 p.m. after two individuals were found dead inside a residence.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies located the bodies inside the home, secured the scene, and notified the local district attorney.
The bodies were transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville, where autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been requested to assist and is serving as the lead investigative agency.
Authorities said the sheriff believes the incident does not pose a threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing.
