GEORGIA — A two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon in Bulloch County left one person dead and another seriously injured, according to state authorities.
The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ash Branch Church Road and Highway 46.
Officials say the driver of a Kia Forte failed to yield to an oncoming Ford Explorer, causing the vehicles to collide and veer off the roadway. The Kia then struck a power pole and overturned.
Troopers found the Kia driver deceased at the scene. The Georgia Department of Public Safety identified the victim as a Florida resident. The driver of the Ford Explorer was airlifted to Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
