FLORIDA — Tampa police are investigating after an elderly couple was discovered dead inside their home Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to the residence on West Palmira Drive just before 3 p.m. after a friend asked for a wellness check.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the friend reported not having seen either resident for several months, prompting concern. When officers entered the home, they found both individuals dead.
Police said there are currently no signs of foul play, but the investigation remains active. Authorities said additional details may be released as more information becomes available.
